DEATH SENTENCE QUASHED
WIFE AS WITNESS. By TelEjrapb—Press Association-Cocyrtihl Sydney, August 5. The High Court, reversing a decision of the Supreme Court, has decided that a ivjfo is not ft compellable witness against her husband. The case was one in which the husband was sentenced to death on a charge of wounding his wife with intent' to murder. The wife did not desire to givo evidence, but the Supremo Court held that she was bound to.
Tho High Court's decision quashed the death sentence.
