Fowlds) slated that additional accommodation for patients at tho Auckland Mc-iital Hospital would be provided i»s Moil as possible. A building to accommodate 250 patients would be erected on a sito oil what is known as tho Reef property, adjacent to the present hospital buildings. The foundations, are being laid, and the plans for the extension ait> nearly completed. As soon as the plans aro ready, tenders will be culled for tho erection' of the building. Plans have also been prepared for the new Mental Hispital at Kihikihi, near To Awamutu.
