MASTERTON NOTES.
THAT MI'STERY-OEGANISED SEARCH. (By Telegraph — Special Correspondent.) Masterlon, August 6. An organised search was made to-day for tho missing man James Kingdon, but up till 5 o'clock no trace of him was found. In a golf match played yesterday the Masterton Club defeated Featherston by 8 points to 2.' ■Mr. J. C. Cooper, managing director of the Wellington Farmers' iMeat Company, was yesterday presented by the heads of the stall' at the Waingawa works with a framed photograph of the works and stall'. An old homestead on' Flat Foint station was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. Tho origin of the fire is not known. The building was insured for ,£275 in tbo Phoenix office, but the contents were uninsured. At the sitting pf the Native Land Council last week, an order was made confirming the sale of Native property in this district to a European. This is the first sale of Native land that has been made in this district under the Act of 1909.
