MACHINE CAPSIZES IN MID-AIR. Ill' Telecraph—Press Association—Oopyriehl (Rec, August 5, 0.12 a.m.) New York, August 4. Mr. Horace Kearney, while flying at St. Louis in a biplane, fell from a height of '500 feet, through his machine capsizing. He remains in an unconscious state. OUT OF CONTROL. (Rec. August 5, 0.42 a.m.) Ottawa, August 4. A Canadian aviator named M'Curdy struck a mound while ascending, and lost control of the steering gear of his machine which capsized. Mr. M'Curdy was pinned beneath, but escaped with a few bruises.
