LODGE MEETING.
The Hand Bay Lodge, TJ.A.O.D., held it« fir=t "mooting in the new lodgeroom on Thursday night. There were a large number of visitors present, these including Bro. Collins. D.P., Ino. .1 Distuct, Bro. L. Boock, D.P., Ao. - vP lst l' IC i ' officers and members of Pride of Broolmn Ledge, who were paying an official visit; and several members cf the Coronation Lod"e. Bros. M'lntyro and Cuttnss wero appointed to confer with representatives of the other lodges in the district to draw up rules governing the competition re the conduct of the initiation ceremony for the "avil presented by J.I. Bro, Collins. After the formal business, a competition took place for a trophy pio-'cntc-d by Bro. Newton, the subject being the delivery of the Y.A. charge.. Eleven members took part, and the lesult \ias a verv close contest, a dilferenoo of 11 marks" only covering the first seven coinpotitors. The trophy Mas won bj Bro. Eyres (who gave an excellent rendering of the charge), Bro. Henry being placed second and Bro. Cuttriss third. On next, lodge night a return card and. games tournament is be held with St. Hilda s Club.
