» The annual meeting of the Waikanae Athletic Club was held at MaJiarn, House on Saturday evening, when a, large number of members wero present. Tho secretary (Mr. T. Parata), who was voted".£3 3s. for his untiring service, generously handed it back as a donation to the club. The election of officers resulted as follows-.-Patron, Mr. W. 11. Field, M.P.; president, Mr. Gcorgo Watson; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. H. W. Parata. J. G. Duncan, W, Smith, A. Campion, and E. Handell; treasurer, Mr. J. Silvester; committee, Messrs. L. freeman. A. 6. Williams, J. T. Kent, A. Wills,.!'. Coo, C. Gorton, J. Askew, W. D. Bennett, and J. Jones; starter, Mr. G. Watson; auditor, Mr. A. G. Williams; secretary, Mr. T. H. Parata.
