Lord Brassey, in tho House of Lords', called attention to tho recent sales of armoured ships by the Admiralty, and declared that there were insufficient cruisers in reserve and on distant stations. Lord Clranard denied that the Admiralty had any objection to selling ships to the Dominions, but doubted the wisdom of selling them old cruisers. It was better, he declared, to build up-to-dulo vessels. | NAVAL PRIZE BILL. AN AMENDMENT REJECTED. (Rec. August 2, 11.20 p.m.) London, August 2. The House of Commons, in Committee on the Naval Prize Bill, ratifying the Declaration of London, rejected a propel! to cxclu'cti) merchantmen, which had converted for, war purposes without notice, from the scope of Clause 25 of the Bill. , '
