The Irish delegates, who have' arrived here from New Zealand, are enthusiastic over their mission in the Dominion. Mr. Donovan declares that the New Zealanders hav ecome to recognise that a settlement of the Irish question will not only conduce to the contentment of Ireland, but tend to the solidity of the Empire. He is confidaat that if a plebiscite were taken it would show that 90 per cent, of New Zealanders were in practical sympathy with tho claims of tho Irish people. The delegates are unbounded in their praise of the fair treatment accorded them by the press.. They were also greatly struck by tho prosperity everywhere evident in New Zealand, and the absence of extremes of rich and poor. Mr. Redmond declare dthat New Zealand was a. more democratic country than America, and there was more freedom in every sense in tho Lominion than in the United States.
