WHERE DO /THE EMPLOYERS STAND? u. The multiplicity of awards under which artisans work is frequently remarked upon in the Law Courts. After inflicting a small'fine on a master builder yesterday morning, Mr. W. G. Riddell, 5.M.., remarked; "These matters should be attended to beforo instead' of aiterwards." "The trouble is," said " Jlr. T. S. Weston, who had' appeared' for the builder, "that some of these men work under five or six awards, ami a man needs to bo very, very clever to know exactly whero he does stand." '
