A meeting of tho Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was hold at tho Now Zealawlov Hotel on Wednesday night, Mr. J. Wareham presiding. It was decided to hold a big meeting towards the end of August, when a maiden, as well as on open stakes, will bo decided. It was also deoidod to hold a,local meeting next Saturday afternoon, when a stake for loeall.y-ow.ncd greyhounds will bo decided. Nominations for (his event will close with the «-«rr ! nry, Mr. .T. J. O'Donoglms, at the New Zoalander Hotel at 8 p.m. on Friday. The secretary, in his report, stated that, the hares on the club's course are in exceptionally good form, and the club'y patrons are in for somo really good sport. Mr. A. ,1. Parsons, the club's lion, judge, will be in (Ik* saddle on Saturday, and Mr. P. Donoglnis will release tho hounds from the slips.
