APPOINTED TO DISTRICTS. ■ Under the reorganisation of the New Zealand military forces, : each district commanding .officer is to have at his elbow, as it were, a general staff officer of the Imperial Army, (o assist him in the organisation, instruction, and training of the troops in his command. The appointments of (hese officei s have now been completed by the arrival in Wellington by the Ruahine yesterday of Captain W. R. Pinwell and Captain Cochrane, V.C. The stations of the four officers—who are all Imperial' General Staff officers of tho third grade—are as follow:— Auckland..—Major A. K. Braithwaite. Wellington.—Captaiu .T. Cochrane. Canterbury .—Captain J. D. Grant. Otago.—Captain W. R. Pinwell.
