A Treasury return shows that last year England contributed towards the Imperial expenditure 90.53 per cent of the total; Scotland, 9.22 per cent.; Ireland, ).25 per cent. England contributed' to the revenue 34.36 per cent.'; Scotland. 9.86 per cent. ; und Ireland 5.78 per cent. England's local expenditure was 73,19 per cent, of the whole for the Kingdom; Scotland's, 11.03 per cent.; and Ireland's, 15.78 per cent.
