MILITARY REINFORCE.POLICE. By Telecraob-Presa AssDciation-Copyrigfil (Rcc. July 20, 10.10 p.m.) London, July 26. More rioting by the colliery strikers has taken place at the pit-heads in tho Rhondda Valley, in South Wales, following a mass meeting at Tony-pandy.

The police were defending the pits by making baton, charges on the mob, but were beaten back by fusilades of stones, several of the police and the strikers being badily injured.

Finally the military were called out, with fixed bayonets.

This had tho effect of overawing and dispersing the rioters, including many women, who were more aggressive than the men. n

The negotiations for the settlement of tho seamen's strike at Cardiff have reached a deadlock. The seamen will not return to work while the other strikers remain unsatisfied.
