PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.
FIRST REPUBLICAN CONVENTION. By TelesraDh—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. July 27, 0.25 a.m.) New York, July 26. The first State Republican Convention dealing with the Presidential candidature for 1912 has been held at Lincoln, Nebraska. Mr. Tuft's candidature was- endorsed, but a large Republican minority favoured the nomination of Senator La Follette, of Wisconsin. The decisiou is. regarded as fairly typical of tho Republican vote throughout the country.
