Tho mention was in reference to I lie application by the Minimal- Borough Council for an order, removing a caveat, which had been lodged by Hector No-man M'Lcod, one of the property owners affected, to prevent fhe registration of an order of the council diminishing the width of King's Road to lililt. Mr. T. 1\ Martin, with him Mr. T. Young, appeaved for the liorongli Council, Mr. Jlartiu Chapman. K.U.. for the caveator, and Mr. J. W. Snlmomi. Solicitor-General, represented the AUorney-lieneral. on until yesterday morning, in order that the parties might come to s-onie agreement a* the form in which .the case should be presented. Yesterdav Air, Ahrliu informed his Worship that his client? had agreed, on ilifip part, to withdraw the technical objection that there was mi right in lodge a caveat, and it was agreed that they should be entitled to costs on the application as if thoy had succeeded.
The further hearing has been >rt down for 10 o'clock this morning, when the merits of the case will be gone into.
