A LABOUR CRISIS.
DEFECTIONS IN N.S. WALES. 'A CRISIS IMMINENT. B J Tcleempli—Press Associalion-OopyrlKht (Rec. July 25, 11.5 p.m.) Sydney, July 25. Mr. Wado, Leader of the Opposition in the Stato Parliament, to-day moved the censure motion of which ho recently gave notice. The. debate is proceeding. Homo excitement was causoil by two Labour members, Mr. Dunno (Mmlgec) and Mr. Homo (Liverpool Plains), handing in their resignations, as they arc unable to support the Government policy.. This means that if the Independent party voto with the Opposition tho Government will suffer defeat.
MR. WADE'S CURIOUS POSITION. CANNOT VOTE ON HIS MOTION. (Rec, July 26, 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, July 25. Mr. Wade, in moving his vote 'of censure, generally attacked tho Government land policy. In justifying his action in moving the vote while the Premier, Mr. M'Gowen, was absent, ho said the pair ho had mado with Mr. M'Gowen restricted him from voting in divisions during the Premier's absence, but his right to move motions of censure was reserved.
Tho Acting-Premier, Mr. Holman, in replying, said that everyone who voted for Labour at tho last election knew that the leasehold was a fundamental principle of the party's policy. They had fought and beaten tho then Government on that issue, and on it they had decided to stand or fall.
Mr. Storey, Leader of the Independents, announced that his party would voto against tho Government.
