Constantinople, July 23. ■\' fire which started nt several points devastated two *,uaro miles 5000 houses being destroyed. The damage is estimated at two millions sterling. The offico ot the Ministers of War and I'i nance esenped, but the General Sti.lV buildings wore burned. A burning beam foil on Sherket Pashn, Minister for War. Twelve alleged political incendiaries have been arrested. The fire is still burning furiously, the water pumps being powerless to cope with it spreading amongst the wooden houses in the narrow streets.
