Auckland, July 24. The steamer Sussex arrived here from Liverpool this morning with 51 immigrants, of whom 37 are from Scotland. Telegraphic advice received from Blenheim yesterday stated that the Wairau Bar was in a bad condition, owing to the heavy sea running. Consequently the Blenheim and Opawa will not leave Wellington until this evening. Tho Marine Department notify that the light at New Plymouth has been changed from "ordinary oil burning" to "incandescent." To-day the hulk Adderley comes oh" the Patent Slip, and. to-morrow, the Defence steamer Janie Seddon will be taken up. A further delay has taken place in regard to tho Hincmoa'a departure for northern lighthouses. She does not leave Wellington until to-morrow. At 4 p.m. on Sunday a large steamer passed Farewell Spit, bound east. She showed no signals. It will be early this morning before the Star o[ India leaves Wellington for Brisbane and other Australian ports.
