ABNORMAL TEMPERATURES.
By Ttlccraoh—l'reas Associalior.-OoDyrleht London, July 23. There is a heat-wave in tho south-east of England, the thermometer registering from 92 to 9-1 degrees in tho shade. Serious heath fires are. reported, including one within two miles of the Bisley camp. (Bee, July 24, 10,10 p.m.) London, July 21. The fires which broke out as a result of tho heat at Alderskot have devastated a thousand acres and have clone much damage at Cannock Chase. INTENSE HEAT IN BERLIN. (Rec. July 21, 10.10 p.m.) Berlin, July 24. There have been eight days of intense heat. Tho temperature rose to 104deg. in the shade on Sunday throughout Germany. There are many sufferers from heat strokes and ninety-six of the King's Grenadiers were overcome during a parade, manybeing taken to the hospital. HAILSTORM FOLLOWS HOT SPELL. (Rec. July 24, 10.10 p.m.) Rome, July 24. _ While the thermometer stood at 33 (leg. in the shade a tremendous hailstorm descended on tho city. Part of the zinc voof of the railway station was torn off and the Column of Victory in the exhibition grounds collapsed.
