The celebrations of the anniversary of the Constitution were marred by a conflagration at Stamboul. Huridreds of houses have already been destroyed, and the fire is still burning with terrific intensity owing to a violent north wind. The offices of the Ministry for War are threatened. The outbreak is believed to have been due to criminal incendiarists using petroleum. Mahmud Shevket Pasha, Minister for War, has been injured.
