HITCH AT LAMBTON STATION.
HUTT TRAIN STUCK UP. Owing to something going wrong with the points at Lambton Railway Station last evening, tho 7.40 p.m. VellingtouHutt train was partly derailed when preparing to back into the platform after the arrival of the train from Jlasterton. Tho Jlasterton train had just arrived, and passengers for the suburbs had been asked to go forward to the upper end of the platform for their own tram. This train, however, being- unable to pull into position, passengers were requested (after some delav) to board tho Masterton carriages, ttien standing at tho plattorin. An engino was requisitioned, and the train moved oft' some minutes lnte. Sonio passengers had already boarded the original Hutt train, when some of tho ears left the rails, and careened uneomfortablv over at an angle, and they got a considerable shock. Naturally tlie.v i.-iado a. race for the security of tho station platform. ________^__
