TOUJOURS MINISTERIAL INTERFERENCE.
Sir,—l read by Ihe papers that .this Government's next piece of unwarrantable interference is in connection with tho several municipal tramways throughout this Dominion. How unasked and unexpected this political effrontery! (.'an the Government manage anything? How are they mismanaging the railways? How did they run the State Poultry' Farm—why, to destruction, and was it.'any wonder, seeing that (hey had more political cockier* housed there than laving fowls? How did the second ballot succeed? What price the cost of straightening tho Unit line, etc.?
1 beg to suggest that a= soon as possible after the return of the llight Hon. Sir Joseph Ward, Bart.. P.C., LL.D., and Prime Minister of New Zealand to this

Baronet), (hat the several municipalities affected by the proiiosed tramway regulations should, on a certain day to he mutually agreed unon, invito the citizens to discuss the said' proposals, with a. view to testing public feeling, and that the several resolutions passed at. these meetings he embodied in one huge petition containing the signatures of tlicso who do not believe in political interference, and (hat the said petition he shepherded through Parliament by the members of the Legislature who are above party. I beg to suggest that the llavor of Wellington, who acted mnni'ullv from lib place in the House when the Bill was mooted, will take this matter up.
