' As tho Napior train wns leaving Hastings at 11 odock, on Saturday evening, and while, passing St. Aubyn Street crossing tho fireman noticed a man lying on (lie road near the lino. Tho train wns pulled up, ami n search vovoalwl Hie body of a man who had evidently been cauuh't by tho cowcatcher and sustained injuries that proved immediately fatal. His name was Charles William Timms. Ho was 29 years of age, and a single man, An inquest will bo held to-morcow.
