Sir,—l have read with interest your reports concerning (he new Tramway Regulations issued by.tho■ Government. Whv; 81r,'-ia:ii.U , '|)ii.« fuss being made over Ihem? Would it not be better for the local bodies concerned to accept the regulations,, carry them out to tho letter with available cars only, and let the public realise, the capabililies'.of the Government they -have kept in power? If you directly interfcro with the- convenience, of the public, and' its pocket, you attack the most dangerous point, and I would bo greatly surprised ot New Zealanders if they did not quickly show their resentmuiit. Thanking you in anticipation.— 1 air, etc., PASSENGER.
