From a copy of (ho second report of tho Revision of the -Vulgnto Commission (says the "Catholic Times") one can form ti fair idea of the vast .field.covered by tho Commission that labours under tho presidency of the Eight Eov. Abbot Gasquct, 0.5.8., in the work of revising the Bible. The report contains an account of the vnrious literary, journeys .taken by Dom Do Bruyne through Spain, Austria,' and Germany, in the libraries of which patient research has been made by, tho learned Benedictine for the past two years; a description of. the process in which manuscripts, aro photographed; and a list of those who have subscribed towards the expenses, incurred by the Commission. Tho President of the Commission. Dom Gasquet, left Home recently for England for the summer. Tho route chosen by Abbot Gnsquet embraces several places in which he expects to find manuscript that will repay tho trouble of investigation, the'first halting-place being Lucca, where a goodly collection of ancient documents relating to his great work.exists.
