THE EXHIBITION.
ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORT. Yesterday was the first occasion on which the pupils from a South Island school visited the Coronation Industrial Exhibition—a contingent coming across the Straits from Blenheim. In addition, there were representatives from (he Knitoke, Plimmerton, and Brooklyn schools. Ino total attendance tor the day numbered 1631! persons, and the aggregate now, stands at 131,028. Yesterday s takings amounted to Xl'i 10s. sd. TERRITOIUAT. BOXING. ' Members of the Territorial troops will be given an opportunity of demonstrating "their skill with (lie boxing gloves tonight, when a special competition for "Territorinis" will be held in the Stadium. The tournament is being held under the management of the Wellington Boxing Association, and as good entries have been received, an interesting evening's sport is I anticipated. VIA WIRELESS. Arrangements have been made for a wireless demonstration by Mr. Buswell to take place this evening, between Balliuger's, Ltd., and Aleock's exhibits, llarconigrams will be transmitted for 3d., the proceeds to be in aid of the Hepple Fund. An X-rays demonstration through 12 inches of timber will also be given. EXHIBITORS' DAY. To-morrow will be specially known as Exhibitors' Day. The special programme lor the day will include school cinldrcn's singing and reciting competitions, a baby show, "Punch and Judy," and a. moving picture entertainment. There is also to bo n guessing competition as to the attendance, and it is announced that every thousandth person who visits the Exhibition will be given a Waltliaro watch; LIVING BRIDGE. Arrangements have been made with Mr. J. 'W. AT. ' Harrison for his pupils to give a second performan:e of the "Living Bridge" on Tuesday next. SHARPSHOOTJNG. During, the intervals between races at the athletic sports at the Stadium last niglit, Captain M'Leod gave an exhibition of sharpshooting, knife-throwing, and lassooing. The whole of his wort was of the finished order, and each teparato feat was loudly applauded by the onlookers. SPORTS MEETING. At the sports meeting held at the Stadium last night the events resulted as follow:— . One mile handicap—V. Byrne, 15yds., 1; F.'Eollo, 18yds.. 2; A. Robertson, 55yds., 3. Won easily. Time, Sinin. 1 l-ssesc. 50 Yards handicap—F. Hubbard, scr., 1; L. Galbrnith, 11yds., 2. A close finish. Time, C 2-ssec. Potato race—First heat: D. Casliman, 1; A. Berry, 2. Second heat: L. Galbrailh, 1; i'. Eollo, 2. Third heat: P. Turner, 1; 51'. Tracy, 2. Final to be run on Wednesday next. Obstacle race—Fiist heat: Rowberry, 1; Cnshman, 2. Second heat: Galbraith, 1; Fitzgerald, 2. Third heat: Eollo, 1; Pinckney, 2. Final to be nm on Wednesday. Two miles harrier challenge race—Wellington Harriers, 1; Brooklyn Harriers, 2. A programme of animated pictures will be screened in the Concert Hall at the Exhibition this evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
