METROPOLITAN COURSING CLUB.
—. 1 A meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was held at the New Zealander Hotel last night. Mr. .1. Wareham presided. The secretary reported that he had inspected tho club's Plumpton at Wallucevillo and found everything in first-class order. He also stated that the hares' were exceptionally strong, and that they wore being well trained by Mr. Jim. Cress. Mr. A. J. Parsons, who niado a success of tho judging at the last meeting, has boon chosen to officiate as judge at tho local meeting on Saturday, July 22. It wa9 also decided to entrust the slipping to Mr. P. H. Douoghue. The secretary (Mr. J. J. Donoghuc) reported that ho had attended the conference of tlie National Sporting League on behalf of the club, and he hoped that members would assist in making tho league, a sucI cess. Nominations for _ the local event will close on Friday night at tho New Zealander Hotel at 8 o'clock.
