MR. GUTHRIE, M.P., AT APITI.
APPRECIATIVE VOTE. IBy Tolecrt'pli.--Special Corre?pnndimVi Feilding, July 20. Mr. D. 11. Guthrie, M.P. for Orcuu, gave a political address in the hall at Apiti on Wednesday night. There was a largo attendance representative "f tlio country districts of which Apiti is the centre. By special request Mr. Guthrie devoted special attention to the Dominion finances, and criticised the Government's system of dealing with finance. Tlio work of last session was reviewed,, ami the speaker expounded the aims and purposes of the Opixisition party. Several questions were asked ami answered. Mr. Guthrie received not only a vote of thanks for his address, but a vote of appreciation of his services as member for ■the district.
