DR. UAWSOX'S EXPEDITION. By Teleeraph—Press Association—CoD.vri&hl Fremantle, July 19. Dr. Mawson, leader of the projected Antarctic expedition, was a passenger by tho Morea, which arrived here to-day from' London. • He states that tho English scientific societies are very keen on his expedition. The sum of ,£20,000 has been collected towards tho cost, but .£IO,OOO is wanted. Ho was somewhat disappointed at Australia's response up to the present.
