SIR GEORGE REID.
A SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyrieht London, July 18. The condition of Sir George Iteid and his son and daughter, who were seriously injured in a motor-car accident at Broai stairs on Sunday, shows a slight improvement. Tho patients are cheerful.
Queen Alexandra, tho New South Wales Government, and tho Lord Mayor of London have telegraphed their sympathy.
Sir James Carroll (Acting-Prime. Minister) cabled to Sir George Reid, High Commissioner for Australia, conveying the sympathy of himself and his colleagues at thomisfortune which had overtaken him and the : members of his family. Sir George Reid, in his reply, said his daughter and ho were progressing favourably, and that ■ his son was only slightly injured.
