HYDRO-ELECTRICAL SCHEME. (By relcffraph--Press Association.) Christchurch, July 19. Tho Hon. R. M'Keimo, Minister for Public Works, arrived to-night from tho West Coast, and had a confereneo with Mr. Evan Parry, .Government hydro-clec-trical engineer, regarding the Lake Coleridge scheme. From what jV.\ Parry has been told of tho scheme by Mr. L. Bilks, assistant-hydro-clectrical engineer ,ho expressed the opinion that tho scliemo was very satisfactory. Mr. Parry has been making inquiries in Christchurch as to tho amount of electricity that local consumers would be likely to require. The Minister leaves for. AVellington to-morrow evening.
