The annual Kugby fixture between toanw representing Christ s College (Christchurch) and tho Otago High Schcol was played this afternoon on the Caledonian "Ground, in fine weather, before an attendance of about 1000 persons. In the first spell Thomas scored a try for the visitors, but no goal resulted, and, in the second spell, Pilling equalised the score by kicking a goal from a penalty. According to a Melbourne telegram to th:3 Sydney "Referee," plucky little "Billy , '' Elliott simply could not live with' Kid M'Coy at the Melbourne Athletic Club. Elliott never had a winning chance; ho was freely punished with both hands from the third round, and only his indomitable courage kept him going. There was a difference of close on a stone in the weights, and M'Coy made every use of his extra poundage. In the rfinth round Elliott livened up a bit, and those who had wagered that M'Coy would win in ten rounds got a little' uneasy. Elliott took some heavy punishment like a veteran; he was fightins a great losing battle. llight through the tenth and eleventh rounds Elliott was peppered hotly. .
