« NEW SOUTH WALES PROPOSAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyricht Sydney, July 17. Tho proposal to form a School Teachers' Union, to be affiliated to the Trades Hall, does not meet with general support, its opponents holding that such a step was not necessary. The meeting was adjourned. NO. FINANCIAL BENEFIT. (Rec. July 18, 0.35 a.m.) Sydney, July 17. Mr. Beeby, Minister for Labour aud Education, states that the teachers can form a union, but he does not see how an Industrial Board would bo of benefit so far as salaries aro concerned, for they are entirely dependent on how much Parliament will vote.
