Guard waves to driver to go on and on, only guard's van left at platlorm. Milk cans hurried in. "Seats please" is shouted.' Passengers to guard: "Aren't you going to back tho carriages to tho station so as we can get in ?" "No," says guard, "and if you don't hurry up you will ba left behind." A two hundred yards run over heavy metal to carriages (those nearest to platform all full, as tho same thing no doubt had been going on at all the stations down the line). Men, women and children and baggage, old and young, hurry-scurry. Next. How can wo get in? I got my wife, (no light weight) partly on my shoulder, and gave her a hoist up. She landed on the platform of the carriage on her knees, then dragged herself up on her feet, her hat falling off on to mo below. I then handed the youngsters up, then the baggage. The guard meantime roaring at us from the platform to "liur;-,v up." I then managed to swing on myself as the train started. Why, sir, our trams are heaven to tho railways. Yes, let the Government put their own house in order first, then we will listen to thorn. What do you say, Hon. Mr. M'Kcnzie?—l am, etc., A CITIZEN.
