DISTRICT REPORTS. (From Our Special Correspondents.) Wanganui, July 14.—Fairly clear sky all day, but cold, with raw easterly wind. Feildlng, July 14—Cold day with light showers; very cold night. .Palmerston, July 14—'the weather to-day has been line, but a very cold easterly wind has been blowing. Shannon, July 14.—The weather to-day is fine and mild. The flood, which was over three feet deep on the Foxton Itoad in places, is slowly receding. Several stockowners, whose cattle were on the lowlying country, lost stock, and practically all' the ilaxmills in tho district had to closc down. Featherston, July 14.—Heavy rain fell during the night and early this morning; light showers at intervals throughout the day. . Oreytown, July 14.—The- weather yesterday was beautiful. Last night rain set in again and this morning at 9 o'clock the thermometer was 38defe. Fah. Heavy frost to-night. Hastings, July 14.—This morning tho weather changed suddenly, and heavy 6howers fell throughout tho day.
