It is apparently tho mainstay of the whole prosecution. : The captain described how gangs of tho Ciunorrn were distributed throughout Naples during tho elections', and how recalcitrant doctors wore bcalen, and maltreated, wounded, and kidnapped. The witness's reconstruction, of the mur- ' der of Cuocolo led to Erricouc shaking ; the bars of tho prisoners' cage like a lunatic, and yelling "Murder! You made iny brother die- in prison!"
