THEIR MAJESTIES LEAVE IRE. LAND. INVESTITURE OF THE PRINCE. By TelcEraDh—Press Association-Oopyrichi London, July 12. The Royal visit to Ireland has concluded. Amid tumnltuoas enthusiasm, King Georgo and Queen Mary embarked for their return, 'in order to attend the investiture of the Princo of Wales at Carnarvon to-morrow. FAREWELL MESSAGES. (Rec. July 13, 11 p.m.) - London, July 13. ,The King has given JCIOOO to the poor of Dublin. In a farewell message, his Majesty thanked the people of Ireland for their spontaneous and hearty loyalty. Ireland's welcome had made a permanent impression on himself and tho Queen. As the Royal yacht left great crowds on tho wharf sang "Come Back to Erin.' , Their Majesties arrived at Holyhead in the evening. Carnarvon is crowded, and many visitors were unable to secure lodgings, and spent the night in tho city halls singing old Welsh hymns. Before leaving Ireland the King received the Lord Mayor of Dublin. INVESTITURE OF A PRINCE. CEREMONY AT CARNARVON CASTLE. The main features of the programme for the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Carnarvon Castle are as follow:— Returning from Ireland in ' the royal yacht their Majesties, accompanied by the Prince of Wa ?s, will travel by special train from Hclyhead on July 13. At Griffith's Crossing; a small station two and a half miles north of Carnarvon, the royal party will detrain, and make tho remainder ot the journey to Carnarvon by road, the royal carriages and escort awaiting their arrival at Griffith's Crossing. Carnarvon will bo entered by the north road, and the Royal party will proceed through tho main street to tho great Castle Square. Here, on a specially-con-structed platform, in the centre of the square, the Mayor and corporation will receive tho royal viistors and present addresses of welcome. The royal party will then proceed down Castle Square and enter the castle at tho ancient Water Gato on the sea front, tho Royal Welsh Choir of 400 voices meanwhile'singing a portion of the special musical programme lor the day.

From Castle Square to the first entrance into the castle there vill bo two separate processions, that of the Prince of Wales preceding that of- their Majesties by a few minutes. On the prince's entrance the Princo of Walps's standard will be hoisted from the topmost turret of the Eagle's Tower, where tradition has it that the first English Prince of Wales was born. On tho entrance of their Majesties into the castlo tho Prince's flag will bo lowered and the royal standard hoisted. In the towers immediately adjoining tho spot whero the processions enter the castle two suites of royal apartments have been fitted up, in rooms said to have been occupied by King Edward I 'and Queen Eleanor. In these apartments their Majesties and the Prince will don their robes of State for the subsequent ceremonial. The preparations and structural alterations in tho castle havo occupied a small army of workmen for many weeks past. The royal apartments and the corridors will be fixed with electric lights, and it is understood that these fittings will be allowod to remain permanently. •■' A raised platform in the centre^of- tho great inner courtyard of tho castlo will bo tho actual si to of the investiture. Scatings to accommodatr from 12,000 to 15,000 guests will bo provided on specially-con-sructed stagings ranged'round the interior walls of the castle. Tho royal party having robed, will proceed in two processions by a specially-constructed roadway along the interior of the castlo to the investiture platform. Hero the bishop of the diocese (Bangor) and a representative Welsh Nonconformist minister will officiate. ,The Princo will be formally invested with the new robes and insignia designed by Mr, Goscombo John, H.A., and tho Royal Choir, conducted by Mr. John Williams, will give musical selections. , The Prince, immediately after being invested, will proceed to the celeberated Queen Eleanor's Gateway at the southern extremity of the castle, commanding a view of the great Castle Square and the State Quay, which Will be cleared for the accomodation of the public. There, on a platform, the Prince will present himself to tho view of his Welsh subjects. It is also stated that the Prince, following the exampjo of Edward I, will eddress them in their native tongue, and that a tutor is preparing him with this purpose. Tho double royal procession will then leave tho castle by the great main entrance facing Castlo Ditch, and the processions will niako n complete circuit of tho castlo outside tho walls, re-entering by tho main front entrance. The roval" party will then return to Holyhead "by special train. On the following day the King will formally open the new buildings of the North Wales University College at Bangor, and on Saturday lay th« foundation-stone of the National Library of Wales at Aberystwith. Their Majesties had hoped to be able to include in their programme a personal visit to Aberslaslyn. A letter from her Mnjesy dated from Buckingham Palaco expresses deep rnwet that the shortness of their stay in North Wnles and tho number of thoir official engagements prenliide their Majesties from carrying out this intention.
