The Hokowhitu (Palmerston) links were in good form on. Tuesday afternoon, when ■the Slanawatu Ladies' Club competed in foursome stroke matches for trophies, presented by Mrs. H. G. Moore. The matches ended in a tie between Miss Hesketh and Sirs. M'Donald, 140—17—93, and Miss Sylvia Abraham and Mi's. Tripe, 123—30— 93. . Other cards returned were:—Miss Sybil Abraham and Sirs. \V. E. Bendall, 123—26—9", Mrs. Cecil Adams and Miss M'Lennan, 121—27—97, and Sirs, and Miss Moore, 120—23—97.
