Suburbs Defence Kifle Club entertained their lady friends at an enjoyable "social." held'at (he Masonic Hall, Newtown, last evening, when (lie prizes awarded to the successful competitors in the club's rifle matches last season were presented. The social commenced with progressive euchre; then came some musical Hems, and the presentation of prizes by Mrs. J. 1\ Luke. The company then sat down to a tastefully laid supper, when toasts were proposed, after which dancing was indulged in tijl the "wee sma' oors of the morning."
