HARRIERS.
The Wellington and Brooklyn Harriers had an ideal afternoon on Saturday for their combined rim. held at llellevue Garden?, Lower Hint. C. Lamberg and W. Bennett (Wellington), and P. Wilton and A. S. Oliver (Brooklyn) were told off to lay a trail covering a distance of about nine miles, and are to be complimented upon choosing such a fine course, which was a sample of real cross-country running. The pack, which consisted of over 50 runners, left the gardens and Struck the trail which led them south to the Hutt Racecourse, thence along the beach In tlib foot of the hills, and back alon-j the' road, via the Tai Tai, halting within half a mile from home where the usual run-in took place. Wellington club scored hnvily in the lirst six, viz., F. Wilton (Wellington), V. tiyrno (Brooklyn), C. Piowbevry. F. Kollo, F. Rowberry, and F. Piiickiicy (Wellington). Before leaving for the train the two clubs participated in Afternoon tea which was enjoyed by all. Next , Saturday the Wellington Harriers will hold their run from Thorndon Baths, and the Brooklyn Club, will journey to Island Bay.
