A draft of the annual report was submitted by the lion, secretary, and this was ordered to bn set up in type. It is proposed to hold the annual meeting at the commencement of the session: Proposals wero submitted from the Otago branch of the league, as regards- the extension of the scheme of sea-training for boys on similar lines to those already recommended by the Wellington branch. It was decided to combine with Otago in the formation of a deputation to wait upon tho Minister for Marino early in August. Tho Canterbury branch submitted proposals for holding a conference of league representatives either at Christchurch or Wellington in August to discuss a number of subjects. Tho Wellington Committee, while in sympathy with the idea, considered that some of the proposals were somewhat outside the scope of the league. It was, however, decided that, if practicable, Wellington would Iw represented at any conference that might be arranged. It was reported by Mr. Palmer that he was in touch with Mr. Coloneus, of the Boys' Institute, with a view to a- daylight celebration of Trafalgar on the afternoon of Saturday, October 21, on which date the instit.iito proposes to hold its annual sports gathering.
