This match was played at Duppa Street. From the "bully-off" Hewawa made the game fast and open, and Pakeha had all its work to keep thenr from scoring, but at last Perry, in goal, through a mishit, allowed Caterer to score, the first spell ending in favour of Hercawa by one gcal to nil. . In the second spell, Hereawa were having all the best of the play until 15 minutes before the call of time, when, from a scramble in front of goal, Hoacn (for Pakeha) found the net, and shortly after Simpson scored a lucky goal. Pakeha were very lucky to win by two goals to one. For Pakeha, Roach, Grade, Jackson, _ and Mollison were tho best, while Kuch, Caterer, and Bruce were conspicuous for Hereawa. Mr. Empson was referee. HUI MAI—PETONE B. The encounter between these two teams was fought out at Petone, and resulted in an easy win for Ilui Mai by fl goals to 2. In the first spoil, Hui Mai had a score of (5 goals to nil. In the second spell, Hui Mai added three more goals, while Pctone scored two. Dalgloish (4), Hay (3), and Bay (2) scored for Hui Mai, while Burn and Mothes each scored for Petone. For Hui Mai, Sherwood, Dalgleish, Hay, and Bay were the best, as were Burn, Mothes, and Nankivell for Petone. Mr. G. Carver was referee. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS.
