Post and Telegraph, ailei' a hard game, defeated l'etono A by goals to 1, while Itni Mai had an easj win over l'etono IS by 9 goals to 1!. P. AND T.—PETONE A. This match was played on the Basin Reserve. In the fn>t spell Post ami Telegraph attacked from the bully-oil. and, from a forward rush, in which Jones and Craig did good work, Hoskings was enabled to score the first goal tor lost and Telegraph. The play for some time afterwards was very even, ami, ir anything, Post and Telegraph had the better of it. .fust before half-time, Jones, by fine' play, scored Post and telegraph s second goal. , . In the second spell Petone put more life into their play, anil were only kept from scoring by the fine defence of the Post and Telegraph's backs. Half way through the spell, Judd notched a goal for Petone, and, from this out, play was in the centre of the field, the match eventually resulting in a win for Post and Telegraph by 2 goals to 1. For the winners Knapp, Bale, Cameron, and Jones were the best players, while for Petone Riddler, M'Ewan Bros., and Judd shono out. Mr. Simpson was referee. PAKEHA-HEREAWA. This match was played at Duppa Street. From the "bully-off" Hewawa made the game fast and open, and Pakeha had all its work to keep thenr from scoring, but at last Perry, in goal, through a mishit, allowed Caterer to score, the first spell ending in favour of Hercawa by one gcal to nil. . In the second spell, Hereawa were having all the best of the play until 15 minutes before the call of time, when, from a scramble in front of goal, Hoacn (for Pakeha) found the net, and shortly after Simpson scored a lucky goal. Pakeha were very lucky to win by two goals to one. For Pakeha, Roach, Grade, Jackson, _ and Mollison were tho best, while Kuch, Caterer, and Bruce were conspicuous for Hereawa. Mr. Empson was referee. HUI MAI—PETONE B. The encounter between these two teams was fought out at Petone, and resulted in an easy win for Ilui Mai by fl goals to 2. In the first spoil, Hui Mai had a score of (5 goals to nil. In the second spell, Hui Mai added three more goals, while Pctone scored two. Dalgloish (4), Hay (3), and Bay (2) scored for Hui Mai, while Burn and Mothes each scored for Petone. For Hui Mai, Sherwood, Dalgleish, Hay, and Bay were the best, as were Burn, Mothes, and Nankivell for Petone. Mr. G. Carver was referee. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS. ' The result of yesterday's matches places Karori in the lead. The following are the positions of the teams:—Karori 12, Petone A 10, Pakeha 10, Post, and Teleuraph 9.
