FIRE AT DUNEDIN.
4 BRIGADE MAKE AN EXCELLENT SAVE. (By Telccraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, July t !i. This evening a fire occurred in Messrs. Laidlaw and Gray's ironmongery premises and Mr. Taylor's hosiery shop, in tho heart of ft largo block of building in Kattrav Street. Alter an hour's hai;d work the brigade succeeded in getting tho outbreak under control, effecting an excellent save of valuablo promises adjoiii'ug Messrs. Laidlaw and Gray's stock was damaged to tho extent of about ,£4OOO, while Mr. Taylors stock and fittin«s were completely ruined Messrs. Laidlaw and Gray are insured in the Guardian Office for -£0000, and Mr. Taylor in th" Commercial Union for .£SOO. Both buildings aro owned by Mr Laidlaw, and aro insured in the Standard for about .£2500.
