LODGE MEETING
Tlic Pioneer Lodge, No. 1.1, T.0.G.T., held their usual weekly meeting in the Kechiibito Hall. Manners Street, on Monday evening. Bro. 11. J. Millan presided over n good attendance An invitation from the Star of Wellington Lodge to visit them was accented. Bro. R. A. Wright, M.P., delivered an- interesting and complete address dealing chiefly with Good Teniplarism and the coining general election. A hearty vote of thanks, moved, by Bro. A. H. Thomson, G.G., was accorded to Bro. Wright, and carried by acclamation. During the evening, Bro. M'Connell, of Dunedin, addressed the meeting. Eight candidates were initiated and one proposed. A vote of condolence whs passed to tlio widow of the late Bro. M'l'her.'on, of .Dunedin. The programme i'or next week is "Competition Night," in charge of Kn>. Milton.
