Captain Gardner presided over a meeting of tho committee of tho Overseas Club and Navy League laet evening, when a. statement of tho receipts and expenditure in connection with tho patriotic concert, held on Coronation day, was submitted. The l'almerstou Liedcrtafol holds its first concert of the season on Tuesday evening. A splendid programme has been prepared under tho conductorship of Mr. H. E. Gunter. Miss May Newman, of Wellington, will be the sojo vocalist of tho evening, and Miss Nellie Simpson, a flautist of repute, will also appear.
