EDUCATION BOARD ELECTIONS.

LIST OF NOMINATIONS. Nominations closed last evening for the annual election of the Education Board which is to bo held on July 24. One member is returnable for each ward and the following nominations have been received:—City ward: J. G. W. Aitken, six nominations; David M'Laren, one nomination. HuttrlJ.ojowhemjn -.-ward: Henry Richardson Elder, Waikanae, six nominations; Herbert Freeman, Ot'aki, one nomination. Wairarapa: Arthur,' Henry Vile, seven unopposed. Messrs. Aitken, Elder, and Vile are the 'retiring members of the board. Fourteen days will bo allowed nftor the election for voting papers to come to hand.
