WELLINGTON MARKET PKICES. Local fruit supplies are rather light lust -now. Apples are still coming in. Local hothouse tomatoes are. quoted at 7d. to 9d. per lb. on the "Wellington market, Port Albert apples Ss. to 9s. fid., Nelson golden russets 7s. (id. to 10s. 6d., Epp's seedling 5s- Gd. to G.=. Cd., Washingtoas, (is. Gel. to 7s. 9d., Sturniei'3 Gs. to Ss.. others ss. to Ss. 6d. Tho Warrimoo landed 1600 cases of Australian fruit for Wellington. Th'o prices realised were—Choice ' mandarins in gin •cases, Ss. to 9s. Gd.; in bushel case*, 7s. to 95.; in packer cases, 55.-to Gs. Gil.; oranges. 2s. Od. to 3s. 6d. per case (poor demand); lemons, j ls. to 75.; passion fruit, 2s. to Bs.; pineapples, Ss. to 95.; marmalade oranges. 3s. to is. per bushel case; and pears, Us. to lGs. Gd. South Australian lemons sold at Gs. fid. to 75.; Hobart apples, 9*. Gd. to 10s. Gd. Most lines of vegetables are scarce. The prices aro:—Cabbage, up to lis. Cd. sack; cauliflower, 17s. Gd. to 255.; beetroot, 4s. to as.'; French beans, Ski. to 4<\. per lb.; parsnip?, Is. to Gs. sack; carrots, 3s. 6d. to -is. fid.; turnips, 2s. Gd. to -Is.; lettuce, Bs. to 4s. case; celery, Is. Gd. to 3s. dozen; pumpkin. ss. to fis. Sd.; marrow. 4s. Gd. to Gs.; potatoes, ss. to ss. Gd. sack;' spring onions.
