9 ME. FISHER ON THE LABOUE MOVEMENT. By Telegmpb—Press Association—Copyrieht London, June 20.Mr. Fisher, Australian Prime Minister, speaking at a Women's Labour League reception in tho Memorial Hall, emphasised the expediency of representative persons going round the world and talking with spokesmen of tho Labour movement. He hoped that the British Labour party would do something towards bringing other nations into conference for promotion of the peace of the world and protection of the downtrodden.
AUSTBALIAN STEAMER LAUNCHED. London, June 30. Mrs. Fisher, wife of tho Australian Premier, launched tho NoTth Coast Company's sicamer Wollongbar at the Ailsa yard at Troon, Ayrshire. Lord Cassillis, Mr. Fisher, Sir George and Lady Reid, Mrs. Bachelor, and many Australians were present. A PARLIAMENTARY LUNCHEON. London, June 30. Lord Leicester presided at a luncheon to sixty oversea Parliamentarians. Mr. Livingstone (South Australia) responded for Australia.
