N.Z.L. AND M. AGENCY CO.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Hawera, has lately shifted into new offices and buildings situated in Princes Street, right in the business centre, of the town, and where, with the increased space at its command, the firm may be able to deal with the busines soxpansion which is to-day one of tho features of its enterprise in southern Taranaki. The office buildings and granary store present a handsome and imposing appearance, the frontage alone running into 08 feet, with the great depth of 152 feet. Offices which are roomy, well lighted, well ventilated, and well finished, comprise a big front room, managerial room, stock office, and land representative's office, all well adapted for tho convenience of the public. There are front entrances farther along into the granary, a huge building capable of storing 5000 sacks of grain. At present it is well filled with oats, chaff, grass seed, etc. The firm's' seed-cleaning machine in tho building is driven by •, electric motive power. On the other side of Princes Street is another store run by the company, and capable of accommodating 2000 sacks of grain. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency is one of the farmers' institutions of South Taranaki, in stock, merchandise, or land. Stock sales are held regularly every fortnight at Hawera, Kakaramea, Eltham, Manain, and Opunake, and arc always well attended. Mr. E. L. M. Kitto is tho Hawera manager of the firm. Mr. AV. D. Powdrell land and stock sales representative, Mr. G. A. Holder accountant, Messrs. G. T. S. Cooper and R. Morrissey are the auctioneers, and Mr. Adam Itennah is in chargo <>f the grain and produce department. District representatives are as follow:—Messrs. L. E. Jackson, Opunake; J. "W. Jones, K'akaramea; A. M'Crackeu, Manaia; G. S. S. Cooper, Eltham.
