At a meeting of the Harbour Trust, the members strongly criticised the action of the New South Wales Government in connection with the recent contract. It was stated that tho trust had accepted that Government's tender for dredges in preference to foreign tenders, although the latter were ,£IO,OOO lower. It has now been discovered that the New South Wales Government was importing buckets from Germany and gearing from France.
